I am so excited about our excursion to Safeway this morning! We scored even better than I thought. I did a dumb thing and split my transactions wrong, but that didn't make much difference except I couldn't use up my Catalinas on this trip. Here's how it all worked out:
Transaction #1:
2 Nature Valley Sweet n Salty Granola Bars @ $2.49 each = $4.98
3 Fiber One Bars @ $2.49 each = $7.47
1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 12.8 oz = $2.49
1 Cheerios, 8.9 oz = $2.49
1 Nature Valley Nut Clusters = $2.49
1 Mission tortilla chips = $2.50
1 Tide Mountain Spring 50 oz. detergent = $6.99
1 Pillsbury Refrigerated Lava Brownies (YUM!) = $2.49
2 Lucerne 18-ct. eggs @ $1.89 each = $3.78
1 Danonino yogurt = $2.00
1 package of pork loin ribs = $1.84
1 bag of black seedless grapes = $2.24
Subtotal: $44.25
- $8 from their "Buy 4 Save $4" General Mills promo
- 2 $0.50/1 Nature Valley ecoupons (not sure which site these came from...they were a nice surprise!)
- $3.00/1 Tide detergent coupon from P&G mailer
- $1.00/1 Tide Safeway in-ad coupon
- $1.20/2 Lucerne 18-ct. eggs Safeway in-ad coupon
- $1.00/1 Danonino yogurt coupon (from the newspaper...not sure of the date)
- $0.55/1 pork ribs coupon on the package
Total: $6.86 (I think more came off than what I wrote down because the math doesn't work out, but $6.86 + tax is what I paid)
Then, a $3.50 Catalina printed from the cereal/bars/nut clusters.
Transaction #2:
4 Betty Crocker Fruit Rollups @ $1.99 each = $7.96
2 Sobe Lifewater @ $1.00 each = $2.00
Subtotal: $9.96
- $0.50/1 Betty Crocker Fruit Rollups, eCoupon (surprise!)
Total: $0.47 (once again, the math doesn't work out quite right, but I noticed the checker took $1.49 off for the BOGO coupon because the Sobes were $1.49 non-card price).
Then, a $2.00 Catalina printed for the Betty Crocker Fruit Rollups!
My grand total out of pocket was $7.33 for ALL of the above! If you take the Catalinas into consideration, that would bring the total down to $1.83!!
