Mission Tortillas Coupon

Go here and enter your email address to score a $0.75/1 coupon for Mission tortillas. I always buy this brand since we used to stock it at Walmart. One time I got some FREE tortillas with this coupon paired with a sale and doublers at Albertsons. I just printed it, and it doesn't expire until 8/9/10, so we should have plenty of time to use it.

Going, Going, Gone!

We are so excited to be leaving on vacation tomorrow! Yay! Idaho or bust! (And it might be bust, too, with two little ones along for the 14 hour drive.) :) At any rate, we can't wait to see the fam and friends and do a little relaxing. Nate has been working very hard, so he needs this break. We should be back on the 28th, so between now and then I won't be doing much deal shopping or couponing, but if I come across something spectacular I'll be sure to post it (do they have Internet out there in the wilds of Idaho?). :) And just in case there are any bad guys out there thinking about robbing us while we're gone, don't bother unless you're in desperate need of body wash or shampoo because that's about all we keep around the house these days.

Catherine's $15 off $20!

There's a code for $15 off a $20 purchase at Catherine's! Catherine's sells plus size items, but I just ordered this cute scarf which should work for me. I entered 777004847 at checkout which took $15 off the $20 price of the scarf. I chose to have it shipped to the Lane Bryant store close to my mom, so shipping was FREE! I also went through Ebates where I got a $5 bonus for signing up and 3% cash back on my purchase. Since the total charged to my card was $5.30, it was like getting the scarf for FREE! Their accessories are buy one get one 50% off, so if you find something you really like for about $15 and get two, it would be a great deal, too.

Albertsons Doubler Deals

Woohoo! I had a fantastic trip to Albertsons this afternoon! Thank goodness I didn't have any kiddos with me 'cause I was confused enough already. I did 5 transactions and used 15 doublers along with several coupons I didn't double. I'm not going to list everything out ('cause I'm still a bit confused), but here's the basics. I bought 3 Florida's Natural orange juice, 1 Frigo string cheese, 1 Land O' Lakes butter, 4 Solo plates, 1 Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese, 3 Scotch Brite sponges, 2 Pantene trial size shampoos, 1 reduced garlic bread, 2 Snyder's pretzels, 1 Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix, 1 Post Blueberry Morning cereal, 1 Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches, 4 Kellogg's 12-ct. Pop-Tarts, and 1 Kellogg's Nutrigrain bars.

I used coupons from various sources including newspaper, printables, Safeway coupon booklet, etc.

My total OOP from the 5 transactions was $15.98 which is great in itself, but I also received a $4 Catalina from the Solo plates (which made them a $3.25 moneymaker!) and a $5 Catalina from the Dairy promo. I couldn't use the Catalinas this trip since none of my transaction totals after the first one were over $3. If you take that extra $9 off what I spent today, it's like getting all of the above for ONLY $6.98! Yay!! That's less than what the 3 OJs would cost at regular price!

Success at Safeway!

The girls and I got some more stuff from the "Buy 8 Save $4" promo at Safeway today, and I also grabbed a jar of yeast that we needed to get my total above $10 so I could use my $10 RR from Walgreens. And we had a couponing victory! The checker was very surprised when I handed her the RR, and I showed her the copy of their new coupon policy that I had printed from Safeway.com. She called a manager, they both looked at it, and then she scanned the RR which took $10 off my order with no problems! Hooray! I was so glad I had a copy of the policy with me because neither the checker nor the manager knew anything about the policy change. Here's what I did (the prices reflect the "Buy 8 Save $4" promo):

Purchased:

Rold Gold pretzels = $1.49
Tostitos bite size tortilla chips = $1.77
Crystal Light Pure Fitness drink mix = $1.49
Nabisco Ritz Crackerfuls = $1.99
Snyder's filled pretzels = $1.50
Lucerne ice cream (mint chocolate chip!! mmm...) = $2.49
Shedd's margarine spread = $1.49
Febreeze Air Effects spray = $1.99
Fleischmann's yeast = $6.99

Subtotal = $21.20

Coupons:

- $0.50/1 Lucerne ice cream from Add Dairy to Your Summer Adventure coupon booklet
- $0.40/1 Shedd's Country Crock margarine spread (from coupons.com but not available anymore)
- $0.40 margarine coupon doubled
- $1/1 Febreeze Air Effects from the Home Made Simple coupon booklet
- $10 RR from Walgreens

Total = $6.40

My total OOP was even less than what the yeast cost all by itself!!

Albertsons Doublers This Weekend!

It sounds like we are going to get some more doublers in this weekend's paper! Yay!! I'll be working on my scenarios today, but more than likely I'll be buying 3 papers or so to get the most deals. Kinda sad what gets me excited, right? :)

New Safeway Coupon Policy

Safeway has updated their coupon policy, and there are some great clarifications and additions in there. Go here to view and print it. I printed it and will put it in my coupon keeper in case I run into trouble at the checkout. The most exciting change is that we can now use Catalinas and Register Rewards from other stores at Safeway!! So that means I can use the $10 RR I got at Walgreens today towards groceries at Safeway! Sweet!

(Thanks for the heads up, Krazy Coupon Lady)

Neutrogena Moneymaker!

I found out that our Walgreens was getting a truck in on Wednesday this week, so I went back Thursday morning to see if I could score the Neutrogena moneymaker. I was so excited to see the facial bars back in stock! They only had two bars of each kind (regular facial bar for $2.69 and acne control facial bar for $2.99), so I bought the two regular and one acne control. I had two $1.50/1 manufacturer coupons I got from a coupon booklet at Safeway to make the deal even sweeter. Here's what I did:

Bought 2 Neutrogena facial bars @ $2.69 each = $5.38
Bought 1 Neutrogena acne control facial bar - $2.99

Subtotal: $8.37 (this STILL would have been a moneymaker even if I hadn't used coupons!)

- $1.50/1 Neutrogena product (from Safeway coupon booklet)
- $1.50/1 Neutrogena product (from Safeway coupon booklet)
- $5 RR from earlier this week

Total = $0.37

Then after I paid, a $10 RR printed out to use next time! What a sweet deal!

Walgreens This Week

It was a very good week at Wags! Unfortunately they were sold out of the Neutrogena bar soaps that would have been a $4.93 moneymaker, but we still did very well. And Abby sat quietly in her carseat the entire time, so that was a bonus. :) Here's how it looked:

Transaction #1:

6 Old Spice body washes @ $4.49 each

Subtotal = $26.94

- 3 B1G1 FREE Old Spice body washes from 6/6 PG
- $1/2 Old Spice body washes from 6/6 PG

Total = 12.47

Then, a $10 RR printed because I spent over $25 on Old Spice products.

Transaction #2:

1 Bayer baby aspirin = $2.99
1 Ziploc gallon freezer bags = $1.99
1 Ziploc quart freezer bags = $1.99
1 Gillette Fusion razor = $9.89
2 Ravina knee highs = $1.19
3 Ravina pantyhose @ $1.19 each = $3.57
1 Ben Gay Massage gel = $4.99

Subtotal = $26.61

- $2 Bayer in-ad coupon
- $1.50/2 Ziploc coupon (not available any more)
- $4/1 Gillette Fusion razor coupon from 6/6 PG
- $0.69 Ravina knee highs in-ad coupon
- $1.50 Ravina pantyhose in-ad coupon
- $10 RR from previous transaction

Total = $0.92

Then, a $5 RR printed for the Gillette Fusion razor

Transaction #3:

1 Gillette Fusion razor = $9.89
1 Snickers bar = $0.89 (filler item)

Subtotal = $10.78

- $4/1 Gillette Fusion razor coupon from 6/6 PG
- $0.40 Snickers in-ad coupon
- $5 RR from previous transaction

Total = $1.38

Then, another $5 RR printed for the Gillette Fusion razor.

Usually, I couldn't use the Gillette RR to pay for another Gillette razor and then have another RR print. But for some reason, it's working with the Gillette razors this week. I had to add a filler item to my third transaction so that my coupon-to-item ratio would be right. I had two items and used two manufacturer coupons (Wags store coupons don't count toward the coupon-to-item ratio). If we subtract the last $5 RR which I wasn't able to use from what I paid, then my total OOP was $9.77 for all these items!!

Get a Tree Planted in Your State for FREE!

This is so neat! Odwalla is sponsoring tree planting in all 50 states, and you can sign up to get a tree planted in your state for FREE! Just go here, click on your state, and fill in the required information (birthdate and email). That's it! As of right now Wyoming only has 89 trees for this year (including the one I just "planted"). Ouch. But SD has only 79, so at least we're not in last place. :)

Pizza Coupon!

I'm crazy about pizza, so I was so excited to see this $1/1 Freschetta frozen pizza coupon! Go here to print this baby. It expires on the 16th, so you'll have about 2 weeks to use it. Around here, the regular rising crust pizza is about $5 at Walmart, so it makes for a pretty cheap Friday night supper.
