Walgreens Trip

I finally made it to Wags this morning. When I didn't get there the first part of the week, I decided to wait until Friday thinking that by then their truck would have probably been there to restock all the hot items. I was able to find all that I was looking for, so I was very pleased. The highlights of what I bought were:

4 Balance bars = $0.20 moneymaker!
(purchased in two different transactions; used two BOGO Balance bar coupons from the SS 10/10 and received a $1.60 RR each time)

6 Mentos gum packages = $0.06 moneymaker!
(again, purchased in two transactions; used 6 $1/1 Mentos gum coupons from the SS 10/3 and secondly the in-ad coupon which made them $0.99 each; using the coupons in that order kept the manufacturer q's from beeping)

1 package of Huggies diapers = $4.49!
(used $2.50/1 coupon from here; paid $5.49; $1 RR printed at the end)

It's so fun to get FREE treats for my family! :)

Throwback Thursday!

UPDATE: Well, I survived without the Internet for a day, but it wasn't easy. I sure did get a lot of other stuff accomplished around the house, though. :)
Okay, so this week's Throwback Thursday is going to be pretty hard for me. I am going to go back to the pre-Internet days and not get on AT ALL the rest of today (except for the couple minutes it's taking me to type this post). Ouch! I'm excited to see how it goes, but I'm sure by 10:00 this morning I'm going to be in major withdrawal. But, no pain no gain, right? I'm interested to see how much housework I'll get accomplished without the big, black distraction getting in the way. :)

Go here and use zip code 77477 to print a coupon for $0.75/1 Clabber Girl baking powder! Hopefully we'll see some good sales on this soon.

Sweet Magazine Deal!

Today over at Eversave (another daily deal site like Groupon), the daily deal for Denver (and a lot of other cities) is $26 of magazine subscriptions with Blue Dolphin for only $12! Plus, if you're new to Eversave you get a credit of $5 to use towards your first purchase bringing the total down to just $7! The reason I'm so excited about this is that Blue Dolphin offers a subscription to All You magazine which I've been wanting for quite a while. All You has lots of great articles plus tons of high-value coupons in every issue. So I've been keeping my eye out for a good deal on it. It's listed on Blue Dolphin's website for $19.97, so I'll be able to get it plus another, cheaper magazine all for only $7! At less than $0.59 an issue, that is a major steal! (I looked at All You at the Walmart checkout the other day, and it's priced $2.59 if you buy it there.) I have to wait two days until I can use my voucher, and they'll let me know when I can use it in the "My Saves" section of Eversave. Also, you can earn $20 in save rewards for each friend you refer, and that can really go a long way!

Modnique: Cute Kids Umbrella for $2.95!

Modnique is another daily deal site similar to Groupon, and upon signing up you can get a $5 credit. To get the umbrella deal, you can go here to sign up (please make sure the top box says savinginsheridan@gmail.com so I can refer you). Then scroll down the offers page to find the Kidorable page. They have quite a few items available including rain boots, umbrellas, hats, mittens, etc. When I ordered the umbrella, I added it to my cart, and then entered coupon code star which took $6 off (if you buy the rain boots, for instance, it will take $10 off, but since the umbrella was only priced at $6, it only took $6 off), then typed 5.00 in the store credit box which took another $5 off bringing my total to $2.95! I've been wanting to get Molly an umbrella for a while but hadn't found a good deal on one until now. I think I saw that the Kidorable sale ends in about an hour, so if you're interested, you might want to hurry on over there!

Ground Beef Coupon!

To print a very rare $0.50 off ground beef coupon, go here, scroll down and click on "Free Code Play" next to "Official Rules", then enter the code that comes up in a separate box and your email address. You'll then have to type in the name of your participating grocery store (Safeway was on the list, but Albertsons wasn't). On the next screen, fill out your information. Oddly, Wyoming was not an option in the list of states, but I filled out the rest of my information correctly and chose Wisconsin as my state. On the next page there will be a button to click to print a coupon for $0.50 off ground beef (unless you happen to be the big winner of a cart full of groceries)! I hope my Safeway will take this coupon...they've been kind of stinky about coupons lately, so I plan to keep the rest of the page after I cut out the coupon to show them exactly which website it came from (not sure if that'll help, but it's worth a try).

Go here and log in or register to score a FREE 8X10 collage print from Walgreens! Use coupon code 8X10TREAT at checkout and choose in-store pickup to get it completely FREE! This offer is valid through 10/23. Now I just need to get some more pictures for my collage. There have been so many FREE offers lately that I don't have any new pictures I haven't used yet!

FREE Audiobooks!

You can go here and sign up with Audible.com to score 2 FREE audiobooks! I did this over the weekend and then cancelled my subscription yesterday so I wouldn't have to pay $14.95 per month. I downloaded "Predator" by Terri Blackstock (I'll never think of Facebook in the same way again) and "Sense & Sensibility" by, who else, Jane Austen (read, by the way, by Susannah Harker who played Jane in the "Pride & Prejudice" mini-series). I'm really liking listening to audiobooks on my iPod, but I really didn't like the prices on Audible.com. It is an Amazon company, so maybe someday they'll accept giftcards from Swagbucks.

Safeway: I Love It, I Love It Not

I'm not sure how I feel about Safeway lately. The last two times I've been there the checkers have been kind of grumpy with me, and while I know I shouldn't be so sensitive, it makes me not want to go there anymore. Also, according to The Krazy Coupon Lady, they will soon be changing their coupon policy and no longer will allow the use of both ecoupons and paper coupons on the same item. So if that happens, goodbye to most free stuff there. However, I was able to score some very good deals there today, and only paid $0.15 for my second transaction! The receipt showed I saved 100%!! I think I'll frame that one. :) The best deal I got this morning was on the Betty Crocker fruit snacks using ecoupons from shortcuts, paper coupons from Target, an in-ad coupon, and a Catalina printed at the end. They ended up being a $1 moneymaker! So basically, I guess I'll take what I can get for now and try not to be grumpy myself. :)

Albertsons Trip 10/17

I had a great trip to Albertsons this afternoon and loved usin' those doublers! Here's what I brought home:

~ 1 gallon 2% milk & small Oreo cup = $1.25
(used in-ad coupon making the milk $2.25 and used a tearpad coupon by the milk for $1 off wyb milk & Nabisco cookies and doubled it)
~ 6 cans of Libby's vegetables = $2.00
(used 2 $1/3 Libby's coupons and doubled them both)
~ Simply Orange and Simply Lemonade = $0.62 moneymaker!
(used 2 $1/1 Simply product coupons and doubled them both)
~ Wheat Thins = $0.50
(used $1/1 tearpad coupon and doubled it)
~ 6 large cans of Pillsbury Grands biscuits = $3.00
(used 3 $1/2 coupons from the Safeway $70 Coupon Booklet and doubled them. There is supposed to be a Catalina on Pillsbury Grands, but it didn't print, so I'm emailing them to try to get the $3.00 I should have received after my transaction which would make these FREE!)
~ Quaker Instant Oatmeal = $0.50
(used $2/1 RedPlum coupon)
~ Santitas tortilla chips = $1.89
(didn't use any coupons...ack!)
Grand Total: $8.52! (and if the Catalina company sends me my $3.00, it'll bring my total down to $5.52!)

$2/1 Quaker Instant Oatmeal Coupon is BACK!

Go here to print two more copies of the great $2/1 Quaker Instant Oatmeal coupon! I just used one today to score a box for $0.50!

This will take you to a bricks.coupons.com page that should let you print the coupon. The best part is, this coupon is good for ANY size orange, apple or lemonade variety! This should easily make for some FREEness (especially with doublers at Albertsons)!

One King's Lane: Photo Book for $3.95!

A while ago I created an account at One King's Lane and received a $15 credit. Since then, I've been browsing the site occasionally in search of something cheap enough to go with my credit. Today I found this lovely book on photos listed for $11. Shipping was $7.95, so after the $15 credit the book was ONLY $3.95! I'm so excited to look through it and get some fun decorating ideas. I was planning on using it as a gift, but I think I might like it too well to give it away. :)

Safeway This Week

UPDATE: The Nivea was all gone when I got there, and the manager told me my Trident Layers coupon was fraudulent. So...kind of a bummer trip after all.
I'm looking forward to my trip to Safeway tomorrow morning! I was hoping to get there this morning, but Abby's morning nap snuck up on me, and I didn't have time. Supposedly, Nivea Kiss of Moisture Lip Care is on sale for $0.99, so I'm hoping to get some more for FREE with my coupons from Sunday's paper (I already got 5 for FREE at Wags this week, but you can never have too much FREE stuff, right?). I'm also planning to snag some FREE Pillsbury Sweet Moments (using two $1/1 ecoupons from cellfire.com and a $1.50/1 printable I got a while back...don't think it's available anymore, but there is a $1/1 on coupons.com), FREE FiberOne yogurt (using two $1/1 ecoupons from cellfire and a $0.50/1 {doubled!} from the newspaper), and FREE Trident Layers gum (with this $0.75/1 coupon {rounded up!} from Facebook). I might have to find something else to buy just to use up the overage! :)

Hurry on over to Coupons.com, use zip code 12345 (I wonder where that is, anyway?), and sort by "Household" to quickly find a coupon for $2.50/1 package of Huggies Little Snugglers or Little Movers diapers. This is great timing for me since Abby has needed to be changed at night a lot lately, and Huggies just seem to work better than anything else. Here's to an uninterrupted night of sleep for both of us. :)

Coupons I'm Printing

Since today is the first of the month, there are a lot of new coupons on Coupons.com! I printed 6 this morning:

$0.50/1 Chex mix,
$0.75/1 Muir Glen product,
$0.60/3 ANY Totino's product,
$0.55/1 Ronzoni pasta,
$1.00/3 Libby's canned vegetables,
$1.00/2 Kellogg's Frosted Mini-Wheats.

All the coupons showed up using zip code 90210. The Libby's coupon should make for some very cheap veggies when paired with a sale, and the Muir Glen coupon will get me a $0.22 can of tomato paste at Walmart. I'm hoping to use the less-than-a-dollar ones at Safeway (paired with ecoupons, of course) to score some great deals in the weeks ahead!
