Snapfish: 99 Prints for $0.99!

Snapfish is offering 99 4x6 prints for $0.99! Just use coupon code 2011PENNY at checkout. You do have to pay for shipping (in-store pickup isn't available with the coupon code), but that still makes each print around $0.07 which is a pretty good deal! This will be perfect for those with tons of Christmas pictures (I am such a slacker; I don't have ANY pictures from Christmas morning this year; not one!).

Organizing for 2011

We've been buried in the post-Christmas clutter for the past few days, and it's really getting on our nerves. Nate did a clean sweep last night (which was so kind of him!) that definitely helped the situation, but it has got me thinking about organizing my household better plus organizing records and coupons in a more efficient way. To assist with that, I found a spreadsheet here that I'm going to try starting January 1. The last time I tried using a savings-tracker spreadsheet I got really overwhelmed and discouraged. This one looks like it's a little easier to use than the last one I tried, so I'm hoping it will work for me. I also stumbled on a new way to organize coupons that I'd like to try, especially since I'll be getting the Sunday paper for the next six months (thank you, Mom!). I love the thought of having a list of which coupons are in my binder so I don't have to try to remember. The Boise, Idaho list on Fabulessly Frugal was very similar to what we got in Sheridan, so I just changed a few things so it would be accurate for me. I'm excited to get started on better organization for the new year!

Amazon: Starbucks Coffee for $3.25!

Go here and select one of the special Starbucks Fusion two-packs on sale for $13.00. At checkout, enter code FUSIONC5 (takes of $5) and code STARBUK3 (takes off $1.50). Your total should be $6.50 for two packages of Starbucks coffee! I also signed up for Amazon Mom which gave me FREE 2-day shipping! You can read all about Amazon Mom in Collin at Hip2Save's post here. Also, I know that usually you can take your empty Starbucks coffee bag into a Starbucks and get a FREE drink, so that makes this deal even sweeter!

New $2 MP3 Credit at Amazon!

Yay! The last FREE $2 credit didn't work for me, but this one did! Just go here and enter code GIVEMP3S to instantly score $2 to spend on music! Keep in mind that you have to use it by 12/26. I used mine right away and snagged "Carol of the Bells/Sing We Now of Christmas" by BarlowGirl and "Chesnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" by Chris Rice. And, if you're looking for a really inspirational Christmas song, I have to recommend "Hallelujah" by BarlowGirl (I'm actually NOT a fan of BarlowGirl, but they happen to have a couple excellent Christmas songs). We bought this song last year after Nate heard it on the radio, and if it doesn't give you goosebumps while contemplating Christ's love and sacrifice for us, I don't know what will.

FedEx Woes

Okay, so today I'm a little ticked at FedEx (even though it's not really their fault). I signed up for NCP online (a survey group) a while ago, and a couple weeks ago I got an email that I was chosen to receive a scanner to scan my grocery purchases for their surveys. I've been excitedly waiting for it ever since. Well, when I tracked the package yesterday, it was supposed to be delivered today. Usually FedEx delivers early in the morning, so I waited and waited expecting it any minute. Finally, at about 10:30 I left to make another Albertsons trip. When I got back at 11:20, I found a slip on the door that FedEx had tried to deliver it at 11:15. Grrr! I was only gone for 50 minutes all day, and can you believe I missed them by 5 minutes?!?! The package requires a signature, so now I have to wait until tomorrow. Bummer. I think I need to go get a Blizzard to cheer me up. :)

Albertsons Doubler Mania!

Albertsons was AMAZING today! Unfortunately, all the free doublers they have at the checkstands were gone (I think the whole town must have shopped yesterday), but there were a few weekend papers left with doublers inside, so I bought 3. Here's what each item cost me:
2 CPK individual pizzas - $0.50 each (used 2 $1/1 from 12/5 SS and 2 doublers) - then I got back a $1.00 catalina for buying 2 CPK items, so they were essentially FREE!
1 Bestlife buttery spread - FREE (used $1/1 from here and 1 doubler)
8 Campbell's cooking soups - $0.09 each (used 2 $1/4 no longer available and 2 doublers)
4 Cool Whip - FREE (used 2 $1/2 from here and 2 doublers)
1 gallon of 2% milk with 1 Nabisco go cup - $1.59 for both (used $1 off when you buy a gallon of milk and Nabisco cookies tearpad coupon and 1 doubler)
1 gallon of 1% milk with 1 Nabisco go cup - $0.99 for both (used $1 off when you buy a gallon of milk and Nabisco cookies tearpad coupon and 1 doubler)
I only wish I could get my hands on some more doublers (without having to spend $1 for a newspaper) because there's so much more I'd like to get! I love stocking up (as much as possible) on milk when there's doublers, and I could have also scored FREE cream cheese, cheap Chex, cheap snack crackers, cheap Dannon yogurt, and cheap Swanson's broth if I'd had more doublers, but I only bought the most important items.

(Thanks, Krazy Coupon Lady and Fabulessly Frugal for coupon links and ideas)

New Mini-Wheats Coupon!

Go here to print a $1.00/1 Frosted Mini-Wheats (14.5 oz. or larger, any flavor) coupon! These often go on sale for $2.50, so potentially $0.50 at Albertsons with doublers. Hurry and print this one before it's gone!

Safeway Daily Deals

Safeway is having a deal of the day each day until December 24. Today's deal is a 5 lb. bag of Safeway flour for $0.59 (limit 2)! Since my stock-up price on flour is $0.99, I'll definitely be stopping at Safeway today for two bags of flour. Tomorrow's deal is Safeway chocolate chips for $0.99 (limit 2). I plan to use two $0.50/1 Safeway baking chips coupons from the Safeway Thanksgiving Booklet and get two bags for $0.49 each! I will have to remember, though, to purchase them in separate transactions because Safeway will only take 1 of their coupons per transaction.

Crazy Good Walgreens Moneymaker!!

Okay, so I just saw this on Hip2Save, and I'm so wishing it wasn't naptime and that I could run down to Walgreens right now! Apparently, the Hallmark tissue paper is triggering the RR, and it's also on sale for 3/$1 with in-ad coupon! So this is what I plan to do (once naptime is over):

Buy 6 Hallmark White Tissue Paper (20 ct) $0.99 each
Total = $5.94
Use the 3/$1 In Ad coupon (will deduct $3.94)
Pay $2 (+ tax)
Get back a $5 RR
Final cost FREE + a $3 moneymaker!

The in-ad coupon is on page 15 of the regular weekly ad, but you can also print it off here. I'm really stoked for this deal because I always need more tissue paper for gifts, especially at Christmastime!

50 FREE Prints at Snapfish!

I just kind of stumbled on a great deal at Snapfish! I've been looking around for the cheapest place to order prints of our family Christmas picture to put in our Christmas cards, and before I placed an order at Snapfish for Walgreens in-store pickup I thought I'd check out Retailmenot.com to see if they had any coupon codes. Well, I came across HPINK50 which entitled me to 50 FREE prints plus FREE shipping! Yay! Unfortunately I'll have to wait 3-5 business days + processing time, but hopefully I'll have the pictures by next week sometime so I can get our cards sent out. Even if the pictures take too long to get here, I paid nothing for them, so it's no loss either way!

Rare Egg Coupon Available Again!

Go here to once again print a coupon for $0.55/2 one-dozen cartons of eggs! Too bad my printer is out of ink, so I'll miss out on this one. Last week I was able to use the one I had printed earlier to get 2 dozen eggs for $0.99 at Safeway!

Walgreens Goodies

I made a quick trip to Walgreens tonight to scoop up some FREE stuff, and here's what I brought home: 12 Snickers Nutracker singles (used 2 $2.00/3 Mars candy coupons from the 12/5 RP) and 2 $0.99 each Hallmark cards which then printed a $2RR! The Snickers are priced 3 for $1 this week, and the Hallmark RR deal wasn't advertised in the store, but it did work out right. I've been riding the "FREE stuff" high all evening! :)

New $10 off $10 at JCPenney.com!

I just placed an order at JCPenney.com using coupon code 4T4T4T, and it took $10 off my order of $10.99! I ordered a pair of workout capris for myself and a pair of (rather ugly, actually) capris for Abby. If you want want to take advantage of this offer, do so quickly, because this code might not be active for long.

Wednesday, December 1, 2010

Remember the $10 off $10 or more at Hallmark coupon I posted about here? Well, the girlies and I bundled up after naps yesterday and made our way to the Hallmark store (which, by the way, is a great little store, but it's very hard to find a good parking space...however, this time the Lord gave us a nice spot right in front! Yay for small blessings!). We found this pumpkin Thanksgiving decoration on the 75% off rack and bought a box of Christmas cards which was 50% off. After calculating all discounts and the coupon (and not including tax), we paid $0.24! If we had purchased these at regular price without a coupon (and who in the world would do that? :), they would have cost $32.98!

Recommended Reading List

Tonight I stumbled across this reading list for children from Whole Heart Ministries (run by Clay & Sally Clarkson who have authored many books on motherhood, raising families, and homeschooling). A lot of these books I have read (a long, long time ago), but many I'm not familiar with. I'm excited to try to find some of the Molly-appropriate ones at our library!

Walgreens Trip

I made it to Wags this morning and was very happy with what I scored! I purchased everything in this picture (2 bags of Santitas tortilla chips, 2 Ziploc freezer bags, 2 French's onions, 2 cans of sweet potatoes, Scotch tape, Walgreens pain reliever, and 2 Kraft mac & cheese) and only paid $1.77 OOP! I used in-ad coupons for the Ziplocs, French's, sweet potatoes, tape, and mac & cheese. In addition I used a $1.25/2 Ziploc coupon I received in the mail (there were also some $1.00/2 from the 11/14 newspaper as well as one before that), 2 $0.50/1 French's coupons, and a Catalina coupon I had received previously for a FREE bottle of Walgreens pain reliever. I was also able to use two RRs I had received in the previous weeks (a $6RR and a $3RR) which brought my total down to $1.77 before tax! Yay!

eBay Cash Back!

I recently discovered that both ShopAtHome.com and Ebates.com offer cash back on purchases from eBay! ShopAtHome has a flat rate of 3% cash back, and Ebates has different rates for different items (ex., clothes and shoes get 4% back). I've been wanting to buy a pair of Z-Coil shoes (if you don't know what they are, you can go here to read about the technology and health benefits) for quite a while and decided to check out eBay to see if I could find a more inexpensive pair (the kind I wanted costs about $250 on the Z-Coil website). I found lots and lots of shoes in my size, and I ended up winning the auction for the beauties shown above. I paid about $77 for them, and will get 3% cash back. Now I just have to try to be patient until they arrive and I can start wearing them!

Is This the Beginning of the End for Safeway?

Oh dear. I just got an email from Cellfire, part of which read like this:

"We have an important change to the Cellfire service that will affect your membership. Starting today, Thursday, Nov. 4th, Cellfire will no longer offer our coupons for use at Safeway. Safeway has decided to discontinue use of Cellfire's save-to-card services. If you currently have Cellfire coupons saved to your Safeway card they will continue to be redeemable until their expiration date. "

Bummer. In my opinion, it's not a very smart move by Safeway because it will more than likely mean much less business for them. In fact, when all the new changes come to our store, I might not shop there ever again. But, I'll happily shop at the other, more coupon-friendly stores if I need to. I guess their loss is my gain, right? :)

Groupon: $25 for $50 Voucher at CafePress.com!

I'm so excited about today's Boise Groupon! For $25 I will get a $50 voucher to CafePress.com! In the past I have purchased a couple "No Colon" t-shirts from CafePress.com for Nate, and I was thinking about getting him another one for Christmas. This will be perfect! The voucher CAN be used toward shipping, and the total for the two t-shirts I was looking at is $49.75 including shipping, so that's basically like getting them both for 50% off! CafePress.com also has lots and lots of other merchandise for sale, so you're sure to find something that interests you. If you are interested in this deal, you can go here to sign up for Groupon (by signing up via this link I will receive a $10 Groupon credit).

Welcome to Walgreens

Today's trip to Wags highlights why I love couponing. I bought everything in the picture (5 bags of candy, 2 Nyquil Sinex, 2 Zarbee's cough syrup, 1 Children's Advil), and it ended up being an almost $4 moneymaker after RRs! Yay! The candy was on clearance for $0.50 a bag, I used 2 $4/1 Sinex coupons from the P&G insert (not sure of the date, but not 10/31), I used 2 $3/1 Zarbee's coupons from coupons.com (not available anymore), and I used this $2/1 Advil coupon along with an in-ad coupon that took $3 off. I used to pay so much for these kind of items because I only bought them when we really needed them, and now I get paid to take them home! :)

Monday, November 1, 2010

Wahoo! My trip to Albertsons was terrific! The girls did really well, and the deals were great! I bought everything in this picture for $18.68! I purchased everything I mentioned in this post, plus yogurt in my first transaction. I also used a $3 catalina to bring down my OOP cost. For the second transaction, I had two packages of pork chops which were reduced, and I grabbed two $1 off any pork purchase coupons found in a display by the meat. I also found 2+ pounds of 93/7 ground beef marked down, so after the two coupons and doublers, I paid $4.10 for all the meat. The pork chops were FREE! If I had bought all these items at their regular prices, it would have cost me $47.17!

Albertsons Doublers!

Yay! Albertsons has doublers through Tuesday (and, another bonus, you can now use 4 per transaction!), and I'm planning on going today to get this deal:

Buy 4 Oreo Cookies (and 2 gallons of milk)
Use 2 doublers

Buy 2 Nabisco Ritz Crackers
Use $1.00/2 Nabisco Cracker products (from coupons.com, but not sure if it's still available?)
Use 1 doubler

Buy 2 Nestle Toll House Morsels

Buy 2 Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough
Use 1 doubler

Subtotal: $23.90

- $5.00 for purchasing 10 participating items
- $5.50 in manufacturer coupons
- $4.00 in doublers

Total: $9.40 (plus the cost of 2 gallons of milk)

That makes each item only $0.94! Pretty sweet, especially for the Oreos! :)

Walgreens Trip

I finally made it to Wags this morning. When I didn't get there the first part of the week, I decided to wait until Friday thinking that by then their truck would have probably been there to restock all the hot items. I was able to find all that I was looking for, so I was very pleased. The highlights of what I bought were:

4 Balance bars = $0.20 moneymaker!
(purchased in two different transactions; used two BOGO Balance bar coupons from the SS 10/10 and received a $1.60 RR each time)

6 Mentos gum packages = $0.06 moneymaker!
(again, purchased in two transactions; used 6 $1/1 Mentos gum coupons from the SS 10/3 and secondly the in-ad coupon which made them $0.99 each; using the coupons in that order kept the manufacturer q's from beeping)

1 package of Huggies diapers = $4.49!
(used $2.50/1 coupon from here; paid $5.49; $1 RR printed at the end)

It's so fun to get FREE treats for my family! :)

Throwback Thursday!

UPDATE: Well, I survived without the Internet for a day, but it wasn't easy. I sure did get a lot of other stuff accomplished around the house, though. :)
Okay, so this week's Throwback Thursday is going to be pretty hard for me. I am going to go back to the pre-Internet days and not get on AT ALL the rest of today (except for the couple minutes it's taking me to type this post). Ouch! I'm excited to see how it goes, but I'm sure by 10:00 this morning I'm going to be in major withdrawal. But, no pain no gain, right? I'm interested to see how much housework I'll get accomplished without the big, black distraction getting in the way. :)
