My Albertsons Transactions

What a sweet week at Albertsons! It was going to be good before, and then came the doublers. Yippee!! I got up at 5:45 this morning so I could get there about 6 am when they open and then get home in time to get ready for church (which I did only to finally wake Molly up & find out she was feeling sick and throwing up, poor girl). It worked out pretty well to get there so early because I was almost the only person in the store, so my four transactions didn't hold anyone else up. However, I couldn't find the advertised Solo plates I was looking for and the manager didn't come in until 7, so that was unfortunate. But overall it was still one of my best ever Albertsons trips. Here's what I scored:

Transaction #1:

1 package Chips Ahoy Chewy cookies = $2.38
3 Kraft BBQ sauce bottles @ $1.19 each = $3.57
2 Kraft Light Ranch salad dressings @ $2.19 each = $4.38
1 gallon of milk = $2.79

Subtotal: $13.12

- $1 off WYB Nabisco cookies and a gallon of milk (found on a tearpad in the cookie aisle)
- $1 doubled
- $0.55/1 Kraft salad dressing (not sure if it's still available)
- $0.55 doubled
- $0.55/1 Kraft salad dressing (not sure if it's still available)
- $0.55 doubled
- $3 off instantly WYB 6 participating items (BBQ sauce, salad dressing, and cookies)

Total: $5.92

Then a $1.00 Catalina printed from the Kraft salad dressing

Transaction #2:

1 Ritz Munchables crackers = $2.79
1 Jet Puffed Marshmallows = $1.00
1 Honey Maid Graham Crackers = $2.49
1 Hershey's Milk Chocolate 3-bar package = $3.00
2 Mountain High yogurts = $5.58
1 Pantene trial size shampoo = $0.69
1 Pantene trial size conditioner = $0.69

Subtotal: $16.24

- $1 off WYB marshmallows, graham crackers, and Hersheys coupon found on the display
- $1 doubled
- $2 off instantly WYB marshmallows, graham crackers, and Hersheys
- $1/1 Ritz Munchables (not sure if it's still available)
- $1 doubled
- $1/2 Pantene products coupon (from a sample I received from Vocalpoint)
- $1 doubled
- $1 Catalina from first transaction

Total: $7.24

Transaction #3:

1 Wesson canola oil = $2.50
1 Butterfinger bar = $0.79
1 Kraft 100 calorie cheese bites = $2.99
1 Pantene trial size shampoo = $0.69
1 Pantene trial size conditioner = $0.69

Subtotal: $7.66

- $1/1 Wesson cooking oil coupon (from a coupon booklet I received a few months ago)
- $1 doubled
- FREE Butterfinger bar coupon (from a Facebook promotion)
- $1/1 Kraft 100 calorie cheese bites coupon (not sure if it's still available)
- $1 doubled
- $1/2 Pantene products coupon (from a sample I received from Vocalpoint)
- $1 doubled

Total: $0.87

Transaction #4:

1 Santitas tortilla chips = $1.89
1 Pantene trial size shampoo = $0.69
1 Pantene trial size shampoo = $0.69

Subtotal: $3.27

- $1/2 Pantene products coupon (from a sample I received from Vocalpoint)
- $1 doubled
Total: $1.27

All together I paid $15.30 for everything! Something to note is that Albertsons now doubles coupons that say "Do Not Double" because it's a store promotion, so the DND doesn't apply in this case. Also each time I bought the Pantene trial size the total for both was $1.38 and I saved $2.00 with the coupon and doubler, so the extra $0.62 went toward other items. Because I did this particular scenario three times, I actually saved an additional $1.86 toward my other groceries (pretty much paid for the chips!). The thing to remember with moneymakers, though, is to have enough other items in the same transaction so that your total isn't negative. In addition, remember that Albertsons only allows the use of 3 doublers per transaction, so that's why I had to do so many transactions. Every checker I've gone to with doublers so far has let me do back-to-back transactions, but YMMV.

It looks like their 77kids department is also participating.

Safeway Craziness!

Today's trip to Safeway was really, really good. :) It was my first foray into the world of loadable coupons. They are coupons that can be loaded onto a Safeway club card. Since my card STILL doesn't work right, my sweet mother-in-law let me use her card to load some coupons this week. I'm pretty stoked about the deals I scored. Here's the breakdown (remember that Safeway doubles coupons up to $0.50 and rounds up from $0.51-$0.99):

1 bag of Lifesavers candy = $1.50
1 package Safeway saltine crackers (50% off) = $1.14
1 Lays Kettle Chips = $1.77
1 Tide Liquid Stain Release = $6.99
1 Lucerne 18 count eggs = $1.59
2 Yoplait Fiber One yogurt 4 packs = $4.00
1 Thermacare Heat Wraps (50% off) = $3.89
1 Energizer AA 10 pack = $6.49
2 Oscar Mayer hot dogs = $3.98
2 Sun-Rype raspberry fruit twists = $1.00
2 Sun-Rype strawberry fruit strips = $0.67
2 Sun-Rype cherry fruit strips = $0.67

Subtotal: $33.69

- $0.50/1 Lifesavers coupon (from coupons.com but no longer available)
- $1/1 Safeway in-ad coupon Tide Stain Release
- $3/1 Tide Stain Release coupon (from the newspaper a couple weeks ago)
- $3/1 Tide Stain Release ecoupon from P&G eSaver
- $0.30/1 Safeway in-ad coupon Lucerne eggs
- $1/1 Yoplait Fiber One multipacks coupon (from a coupon booklet I got in the mail a while ago)
- $0.55/1 Yoplait Fiber One multipacks peelie coupon (found on the package in the store)
- $1/1 Yoplait Fiber One multipacks ecoupon from shortcuts.com
- $1/1 Thermacare peelie coupon (found on the package in the store)
- $2/1 Safeway in-ad coupon Energizer batteries
- $1/1 Energizer batteries (from coupons.com but no longer available)
- $1/1 Safeway in-ad coupon Oscar Mayer hot dogs
- $1/1 Safeway in-ad coupon Oscar Mayer hot dogs

Grand total: $13.03!

I just did the math, and it doesn't come out quite right, but it looks like the way the checker put in the BOGO coupons caused them to double, so I think that's why my total was less than I thought. That's a good problem to have! :)
(Thanks to Krazy Coupon Lady for some of the matchups)

Coldstone Creamery Coupon

There's a new 20% off any purchase (except for gift cards) coupon for Coldstone Creamery! It doesn't get much better than coupons and ice cream together. :) Go here to print off the coupon which expires 6/30/10. I wish we had one here in Sheridan (I'd go today!!), but I'll save this for our trip to Idaho next month. Doesn't that mint/brownie/fudge creation on the coupon look scrumptious?

(Thanks, Hip2Save)

New $10 off $10 JC Penney Coupon Code!

I love it when they give out these codes! I snagged these cute khaki cargo pants (in tall...yay!) and used both the code and the gift card I got for my birthday so they were FREE! The code to use is 4THECITY at checkout. Remember, you have to have at least $10 BEFORE shipping to use the code, so without the gift card in addition, best case scenario would be to find something for $10.99 or so and just basically pay shipping.

(Thanks, Hip2Save)

FREE Sample of Ritz Crackerfuls

Yay! I love FREE samples (especially when they involve food)! :) Go to the Ritz Crackers fan page on Facebook to sign up for your FREE sample of Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Crackerfuls. Sounds yummy!

(Thanks, Hip2Save)

FREE Coffee at Holiday!

There's another coupon for a FREE coffee or hot chocolate at Holiday Station stores. It expires June 6. Go here to print one (or two or three). This cold, rainy day would be a great day to get one!

(Thanks, Hip2Save)

Rainy May

Well, it's raining here again. No big news there. I think this is the coldest, wettest spring I can remember for a long time. But there is an end in sight. Later this week it's supposed to get up to the low 80s. Maybe we can dust off the kiddie pool? For today, though, we are content to stay inside, do laundry, and get one more day of use out of our wool socks. A cup of hot tea and a Jane Austen novel anyone?

(By the way, I wish the above picture was taken at my house, but it wasn't. What a beautiful place, wherever it is.)

Netflix

We recently signed up for a FREE month of Netflix and have been enjoying some movies and shows. Some are available to watch instantly, and we have requested others to be mailed. It's nice to have such a large selection to choose from, but we won't be continuing the subscription when our FREE month is over. There's an awful lot of bad along with the good. But Molly is getting her fair share of "Thomas the Tank Engine" while she can. And I'm enjoying some good BBC stuff, too. It's still hard to find clean, interesting things for both Nate and I to watch (he's a lot choosier about what he wants to watch), but at least we don't have to feel bad about wasting $3 if the movie we chose wasn't very good. :)

Walgreens Better Than FREE!

Woo hoo! What a day at Walgreens! I just stopped really quick to see if I could find some possible clearance stuff, and I scored big. On all of the above items I spend $1.98 before tax, and got a $4.50 Register Reward back! So that makes it a $2.52 moneymaker!! Here's what I did:

Purchased:

2 Lysol toilet bowl cleaners (BOGO sale) = $2.99
2 Gillette men's body wash = $8.98
1 clearance toothbrush = $0.50

Subtotal = $12.47

Coupons:

$4/2 Gillette body wash (from the newspaper)
BOGO Gillette body wash (from the newspaper)

Grand total OOP = $1.98

Then after I paid, the $4.50 RR printed out for me to use next week. What a deal!
(Thanks, Hip2Save, for the Lysol coupon link)

2 + 1 = unhappiness

Abby so far has 2 teeth. She has been working on getting another 1 for the past 5 days. It has been a miserable 5 days. Poor thing. It reminds me of the colic stage she went through. She's just. not. happy. So lately I've been pretty busy being a mommy and haven't been keeping up with the couponing so much. But's that's okay. Being a mommy is my calling from God, and it's what I love to do. Hopefully, though, that stinkin' tooth will appear very soon so we can have our happy baby back. :)

Safeway Craziness!

My trip to Safeway this morning was INSANE!! There were so many good deals, and I'm planning another trip on Saturday to get a few more things. Here's how it all broke down:

Transaction #1:

4 Crispix cereal @ $1.50 each (when you buy 4) = $6.00

1 Scrubbing Bubbles Daily Shower Power Sprayer = $6.99

= $5.99 OOP

Then, a $3 catalina printed from Kellogg's, AND another $3 catalina printed from Scrubbing Bubbles!

Transaction #2:
4 Rice Krispies cereal @ $1.50 each (when you buy 4) = $6.00
2 Hormel lunchmeats (on a BOGO sale) = $4.19
2 Classico pasta sauces = $4.00
2 Safeway pastas (on a buy 2 Classico get 2 pastas FREE sale) = $0.00
1.84 lb. of bananas = $0.85

- $0.45 multiplied coupon (to make the Hormel coupon up to $1)
- $1 off fruit when you buy Kellogg's cereal (from inside a cereal box)
- $1.50/1 Classico pasta sauce (from coupons.com but not available anymore)
- $3.00 Scrubbing Bubbles catalina coupon from previous transaction

= $6.54 OOP

Then, another $3 Kellogg's catalina printed.

Basically, I paid $12.53 out of pocket for all of the above items, but I have $6 in catalina coupons to use like cash on my next purchase. So subtracting the catalinas, these groceries only cost me $6.53! Even Nate was impressed. ;)
(Thanks, KCL, for all the matchups & coupon links)

Dr. Pepper Coupon!

Go here to print a $0.60/1 Dr. Pepper coupon (good on 2 liter bottle or 12 pack of cans). I recently discovered that my Safeway routinely doubles coupons up to $0.50 and rounds all coupons $0.51-$0.99 up to $1. So I'm hoping that they will put their DP on sale for $1 and I can get a FREE 2-liter bottle! Once again, be sure to hit your Back button and then Refresh and Retry to print it twice.

(Thanks, Hip2Save)

FREE Suave Professionals Full-Sized Product!

NEW UPDATE: The link actually IS live! Just click on the button, the when the blank page comes up, go up to the address bar, delete the "1" at the end of the address and hit "Enter." You'll get to the page to fill out your info to get your FREE product. I just did this and it went through, but hurry because they probably won't last long!

Suave is running a Facebook promotion, and they are going to be giving away full-sized bottles of their Professionals line. Just go here, "Like" them, and then click on the "Get Free Product" button. As of right now, this is NOT live, so clicking of the button just gets me to a non-active page. But keep checking back so you don't miss it when it does go live. I'm planning a trip to Safeway ($0.25 cereal anyone?) this morning, so hopefully I won't miss out on this. [On a side note, if you're interested in the Safeway deals this week, click here to go to The Krazy Coupon Lady's matchups.]

(Thanks, Hip2Save)

Oscar Mayer Lunchmeat Coupon

Go here to score a $1/1 coupon for Oscar Mayer lunchmeat. I'm not sure how much this usually costs at Walmart, but I know Albertsons had a BOGO sale on it a couple weeks ago. You have to type your first name and finish the sentence, "it's impossible to resist..." to get the coupon. Don't forget to press your back button and then "Retry" to print this one twice! Also, be sure to hit "Cancel Print" after the coupon part has printed because there's an ad underneath.

(Thanks, Hip2Save)

New Link for Home Made Simple Coupon Book

I have requested this little coupon book at least 3 or 4 times, and now there is another link to request it again! Just go here, scroll down, and click on the "Save Now" button on the lower righthand side where it says "Save $3.00 on Mr. Clean." A new window will open where you'll have to put in how you heard about the offer and then fill out your personal information. I think the best coupon in this booklet is $1/1 Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay. I got a bottle FREE at Albertsons a couple weeks ago using this coupon.

Cleaning, Cleaning

This week I'm starting to use this cleaning schedule I found on (my favorite website) Hip2Save. It breaks down chores by days of the week so that at the end of the week the whole house is clean, and yet I don't have to spend an entire day doing it. How great is that? So far this week I've washed and changed sheets, took out the trash, vacuumed, and dusted (which actually isn't supposed to be done until Friday, but Nate has been having major dust allergies at home, so I did it a few days early). Today, however, is the dreaded bathroom cleaning. Ugh. Somehow I must power through and get it done. I look forward to the day when I can assign that particular task to a child and not have cleaning supplies and paper towels everywhere. :) But until then: toilet, it's either you or me, and it ain't gonna be me.

FREE Whitening Toothpaste!

This is a product I had never heard of before today, but hey, it's FREE! :) To get it, go here and "Like" them on Facebook. Then scroll down the Wall to find the link to the survey (it's in one of their status updates). Click on the link and take the survey. It sounds like they send a coupon for a free tube of either Power White or Sensitive toothpaste (you choose which one you want in the survey). Hopefully this is available in Sheridan.

Walgreens and Safeway

My trip to Wags and Safeway this morning was very successful. Hooray for Fabian who never even questioned the Soft Scrub coupon but just put it through! I bought a few more things there than I had planned (I know it's not good to do that, but I used coupons, so that makes it okay). :) They had Lays chips on sale, so I bought a bag (we go through chips like nobody's business), I found the very small packages of Fig Newtons for $1.50 each and I had a $1 off coupon, and I snagged some Organix shampoo that had a "Try Me Free" hang tag on it for a mail-in rebate for the entire cost of the shampoo (which was $6.99)! Here's how the Wags scenario looked:

Transaction #1:

Infusium Leave-In Treatment $4.99
Eos Shave Cream $2.99
Organix Shampoo $6.99

Subtotal: $14.97

- $2/1 Infusium coupon from the May Wags coupon booklet
- $3/1 Infusium coupon from the 5/9 SS

= $9.97 out of pocket

Then, a $3 RR printed out for the shave cream.

Transaction #2:

Quilted Northern Bath Tissue 12 double rolls $5.99
Tuf paper towels $0.79
Nabisco Fig Newtons $1.50
Nabisco Fig Newtons $1.50
Soft Scrub $3.99
Soft Scrub $3.99
Lays Sour Cream & Onion chips (Molly's favorite!) $1.99

Subtotal: $19.75

- $3.99 for BOGO Soft Scrub sale
- $3.99 for BOGO Soft Scrub coupon
- $1/1 Nabisco Fig Newtons coupon
- $1/1 Nabisco Fig Newtons coupon
- $3.00 RR from the previous transaction
- $0.20 Tuf paper towels in-ad coupon

= $6.57 out of pocket

So for those 15 items, I spent $16.54 out of pocket. Now I will submit for the "Try Me Free" rebate and get $6.99 back which brings my total to $9.55! Whoopee! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Safeway
I wasn't able to get the juice last week because they were temporarily out of what I wanted. So we went this morning and were able to score some VERY cheap juice. Here's what the scenario looked like:
Treetop Apple Juice $1.49
Treetop Apple Juice $1.49
Welch's Grape Juice $1.99
Welch's Grape Juice $1.99
V8 Fusion Cranberry Blackberry Juice $1.99
Nabisco Mint Oreo Fudge Cookies $2.50
Tropicana Orange Juice $2.50
Subtotal: $13.95
- $1/2 Treetop Apple Juice coupon
- $1/1 Welch's Grape Juice coupon
- $1/1 Welch's Grape Juice coupon
- $1/1 V8 Fusion coupon
- $1/1 Nabisco Oreo Fudge Cookies coupon
- $1/1 Tropicana Orange Juice coupon
= $7.95 out of pocket
I tried to take a picture of my receipt, but our camera has seen better days. The receipt says I saved 70%! First time I've seen that, and it makes me feel great!
Walgreens Trip
(Photo credit Krazy Coupon Lady)
Here's my Walgreens list for this week. These are the items I'm going to look for and then decide if I really want them (and if there's room in the budget).
Pepsi Products 12 pk. 4/$12 = $3 RR
Final Cost $2.25 each!
EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream 7 oz. $2.99 = $2.99 RR
Final Cost FREE!
Oscar Mayer Bacon 16 oz. 2/$6
Use the $1.50/1 coupon or the $1/1 coupon from here (if turkey bacon is included)
Final Cost as low as $1.50 each!
Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment 8-16 oz. $5.99
Use the $3/1 coupon from the 5/9 SS
Plus, use the $2/1 Walgreens coupon from the May coupon booklet
Final Cost $0.99!
Soft Scrub Cleanser Buy One Get One Free
Use Buy One Get One Free coupon
Final Cost 2 for FREE!
Quilted Northern Toilet Paper (12 double rolls) $5.99
Tuf paper towels $0.59 with in-ad coupon
The Pepsi products are definitely optional, but I'm hoping they'll have something non-caffeinated that I can get for Nate. I'm really excited about the Infusium because I've been wanting to try the leave-in treatment on Molly's crazy, flyaway hair but didn't want to spend the $. I'm also very happy to get some more shaving cream for FREE as well as the Soft Scrub for FREE! I understand that Walgreens does not have a specific coupon policy so YMMV (your mileage may vary) as to whether or not your local Wags will accept a BOGO coupon on BOGO items. They should accept it because they will get reimbursed for the second free item from the manufacturer, so they'll get their money either way. I'm going to try it and see what happens. Hopefully my favorite cosmetics counter checker Fabian will be there today. She's awesome!! I'm also happy the TP is on sale this week since (TMI alert!) we're getting kinda desperate. :)
(Thanks, Hip2Save for most of the Wags deals)
Mother's Day
We are planning a lunch after church for the whole family on Mother's Day, and my sisters-in-law and I are bringing the food so my mother-in-law doesn't have to cook that day. Molly and I made some scones today for a strawberry shortcake dessert for tomorrow, and I couldn't resist taking a picture of her in her little apron and chef's hat. A coworker of Nate's made them (thanks Sue!), and she loves to wear them whenever she helps me in the kitchen. Now isn't this what being a mother is all about?
Helping Others
Today the US Postal Service did a promotion called "Stamp Out Hunger." I left a bag with these goodies by our mailbox that our mailman picked up when he delivered our mail. The food will go to a local food bank to help the hungry. It's such a good feeling to share with those in need.
Safeway Scenario
Here's what I'm planning to get at Safeway today (if I can plow through the drifts to get to the garage). :) I have $22 left in my weekly budget, and what I have planned to buy should cost just under $9. Since I started using a cash system for my grocery/misc. spending this month I'm really reevaluating what I buy. So by the time I get to the store this list might have shrunk a little. :)
Red Baron by-the-slice pizza $2.50
Final Price: $0.50
General Mills Cereal $1.49
including Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puffs, Trix, & Cookie Crisp Limit 20
$1/2 Honey Nut Cheerios (from a coupon booklet I got in the mail a while ago)
Final Price: $0.94 for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch
$0.99 for the Honey Nut Cheerios
Buy 5, Save $5 Juice Sale
Price below reflect $5 savings. You MUST buy in quantities of 5 to receive these prices!
Welch’s, 64 oz $1.99
Final Price: $0.99
TreeTop Apple Juice, 64 oz $1.49
Final Price: $0.99
I plan to buy 1 pizza by the slice, 1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 2 Honey Nut Cheerios, 3 TreeTop apple juices, and 2 Welch's grape juices. If the prices at my local Safeway are the same as the ones I got from The Krazy Coupon Lady, all this should cost me $8.82. You can check out all the Safeway matchups here. Here's hoping I can get out of the driveway today. ;)
Snow in May?!?!?
This is the scene that greeted me when I looked out of our living room window this morning. Inspiring, huh? It then proceeded to continue to snow, and the wind picked up, and we probably got a total of about 8 inches before it stopped snowing around noon. I know this is Wyoming, but really...
FREE 8X10 Collage Print at Walgreens.com!
Now thru Saturday, you can score a FREE 8X10 collage print at Walgreens online photo center! I just ordered one with pictures of (who else?) my two little cuties. I chose in-store pickup which made it absolutely FREE! I'm not sure what shipping would cost, but it would make a very unique and meaningful Mother's Day gift, so it might be worth it even with shipping. To take advantage of this offer, you just need to create an account here, upload pictures, then go to the "Order Gifts" section and choose an 8X10 collage print. After choosing your pictures and playing with the layout (I did landscape orientation, medium line thickness, and ocean blue border), add it to your cart and use the coupon code GOODTHOUGHTS. This will make it totally FREE! Over the past year or so I've done about 5 of these prints (when they were FREE, of course), and they turn out very well.
Trials & Tribulations of Walmart
Well, no free Nexcare at Walmart today, but I did score a 35-count box of bandages for .50 using the $1 off coupon which was the cheapest Nexcare product. I thought that was pretty good since the ones I usually buy (a different brand) cost .97 for a 60-count package. So about half the price for more than half the amount. I also found the 1-load size Tide packets and got two using two $1/1 any size Tide coupons. They gave me some hassle about it and said they couldn't do it at first because the packets were priced at .97 each. I explained that they should be able to adjust the coupon down, but they said they couldn't do that. I also pointed out that the coupon clearly stated ANY size. The manager finally said, "Oh, okay. Just put them through as two $1 off vendor coupons." Yay me for not backing down when I wanted to just meekly take back my coupons and go home without my free Tide. :) So now I'm off to look up Walmart's official coupon policy so that I'm prepared for the next time (yes, getting stuff for free is such a rush that I can't help but do it again).
UPDATE: The Walmart coupon policy was very bare bones and didn't help with this issue at all. I suppose it just varies by store and manager.
(Thanks to Hip2Save for the link to Walmart's coupon policy)
Nexcare Coupon
Go here to acces a $1 off 1 Nexcare coupon. It does NOT exclude trial sizes, so I'm going to Walmart today to see if I can score some for FREE! This is a .pdf coupon that doesn't expire until 9/1/10, so I saved it to my desktop so I can easily access it in the future.
(Thanks, Hip2Save)
FREE Can of Libby's Vegetables!
Go here and "Like" them on Facebook. Then click on the link and fill out the form to receive a coupon for a FREE can of vegetables. This page says they will either email the coupon or regular mail it. My family loves canned beans, so it'll be great to get a can for FREE!
(Thanks, Hip2Save)
FREE Glade Gift Pack - Hurry!!
They are only giving out 6,000 of these, so hurry on over here to sign up for yours! I just signed up for it, and it apparently worked.
Vocalpoint = Lots of Free Stuff!
Have you heard of Vocalpoint? It is a website that gives out a lot of free samples and asks for user input on those products. I created a free membership a while back and have already received a full-size Pantene shampoo and a travel pack of Puffs tissues. Today I requested their latest offer which is a 3-pack of Pampers Cruisers ultra-thin diapers (I know, I know; I really do love cloth, but I'm trying to get a stash of sposies for our vacation this summer). FREE Coffee (or in my case, hot chocolate)!
There's a coupon for FREE coffee or cappuccino (or hot chocolate) at Holiday (gas station/convenience store). Go here to print it off. I don't know if there's a print limit, but I was able to print two off this morning and might print some more later. I got myself a hot chocolate this morning on the way to Bible study. Mmmmm good.
...And More Albertsons Doubler Deals!
I got some more doublers this afternoon and went to Albertsons again this evening, and it was fantastic! For all the items in this picture I paid $3.66!!! Here's how the transaction looked:
Puffs tissue = $1.00
Oscar Meyer roast beef lunchmeat = $5.49
Oscar Meyer ham lunchmeat = $0.00 (on a buy one get one free sale)
Dawn Hand Renewal dish soap = $1.99
Ritz Munchables = $2.99
Kotex liners = $1.19
Subtotal = $12.66
Coupons used:
$1/1 Puffs tissue
$2/1 Oscar Meyer lunchmeat
$1/1 Dawn Hand Renewal soap (doubled to make $2 off)
$1/1 Ritz Munchables (doubled to make $2 off)
$1/1 Kotex (doubled to make $2 off)
Grand total = $3.66
You'll notice that the Kotex only cost $1.19, and the coupon took off $2.00. That extra $0.81 went toward other items and made this deal even sweeter! Sometimes cashiers will balk at overage, but so far I have had no trouble with that at my Albertsons.
Albertsons Doubler Deals
In the local weekend newspaper there was a special ad from Albertsons that had some special deals and some store coupons. At the bottom there were three "Double the Value" coupons that are used to double the value of manufacturer coupons up to $1.00 in value. These are like gold to me! :) They are only good for three days, so the girls and I went early this morning to get some deals. This is what we found:
Honey Bunches of Oats cereal = $1.67
Mission tortillas = $1.49
Wheat Thins = $2.99
Campbell's Cream of Chicken soup = $1.29
Campbell's Cream of Mushroom with Roasted Garlic (yummy!) soup = $1.29
Gallon of milk = $2.49
32 oz. carton of yogurt = $2.99
Promise margarine = $2.79
6 oz. carton of yogurt = $0.33
Subtotal = $17.33
Coupons used:
$1.25/1 Honey Bunches of Oats cereal
Albertsons store coupon which made the tortillas $0.79
$0.75/1 Mission tortillas
$1/1 Wheat Thins (doubled to make $2 off)
$1/2 Campbell's soup (doubled to make $2 off)
$1/1 Promise margarine (doubled to make $2 off)
Grand total = $8.63
I'm especially excited about the tortillas which cost $0.04 and the cereal which cost $0.45. I printed all the coupons online except the cereal one (it was one that had printed out of the Catalina machine at my mom's Albertsons, and she gave it to me). You just can't beat the feeling of saving money on stuff you use every day!
BOGO Cutter Coupon
Now that the weather's getting warmer (well, not here yet, but I'm sure there is warm weather SOMEWHERE), it's time for all the insects to come out of hiding. Molly has decided she does NOT like bugs, so this might be an interesting summer for us. :) With all that in mind, you'll probably want to head over here to print off a buy one get one free coupon for Cutter insect repellant. The variety in this picture looks like it might smell better than the average insect repellant, so I'm excited to try it. Also, keep your eyes peeled (ouch!) for a BOGO Cutter sale to combine with this coupon. At most stores you should be able to get two for free with that scenario!
$2 Off Oscar Mayer Lunchmeat Coupon!
Wow!! This is a great, high-value coupon for lunchmeat! Just go here and "Like" Oscar Mayer on Facebook and then click through to print off a $2/1 lunchmeat coupon. Don't forget to hit the "Back" button to print it off twice. This should make for some very inexpensive lunchmeat.
Hospitals Are Not Fun
Whew! A lot has happened in my world since the last post. Monday night my husband came home from work with a massive blockage in his intestine which required a visit to the ER and a three day stay in the hospital (and a lot of other unpleasant things, but I won't go into detail). As I write this, he is still not doing great, but at least he's home where I can take care of him. I spent a lot of time traveling to and from the hospital, and I'm super thankful for my wonderful parents and sister who took such good care of my two little girls so I could be with my sweetheart. So, that's the reason for my "silence" this week, but Lord willing things will be back to normal very soon.
